Finance minister on a visit

Innovations and interesting new developments get around among politicians. Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Lower Saxony's Finance Minister Reinhold Hilbers to the KRONE stand in Hall 27. Like his political colleagues before him, he showed great interest and tested the KRONE eMega Liner directly together with Dr. Albers.  A highlight that attracts!

New Design for CELSINEO

A "power couple" visits the "triple pack": Philipp Liebherr & Bernard Krone stopped by the CELSINEO stand at the IAA Transportation for a quick chat. Naturally they were curious about the new brand design and wanted to witness it firsthand, since CELSINEO is dear to both family-owned companies. They were given a model truck of their common brand to remember this moment.

Go-ahead for large order

During the IAA exhibition in Hanover, DB Schenker, one of the world’s leading logistics service providers and the leader in European land transport, and Krone completed the handover of the first of 200 Krone Mega Liners for DB Schenker’s French network. DB Schenker’s goal is to increasingly shift from trailer transports to megatrailer transports so that more goods can be transported with one truck.

Transport minister convinced by eTrailer

KRONE and the entire commercial vehicle industry are working full steam ahead on new and climate-neutral transport and logistics solutions. Dr. Volker Wissing was also convinced of this during his tour of the KRONE stand at the IAA Transportation. Especially the KRONE eMega Liner, newly developed in cooperation with Trailer Dynamics, aroused great interest.

Politics Talk on DENKFABRIK stage

Very informative exchange at the KRONE Denkfabrik: Chaired by Oliver Detje (Publishing Director, DVV Media Group) our guests Bernard Krone (Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Bernard Krone Holding SE & Co. KG), Hildegard Müller (President, German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Horst Kottmeyer (Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Federal German Freight Haulage Logistics and Disposal Association (BGL) and Konstantin Kubenz (Executive Partner, Kube & Kubenz Internationale Speditions- und Logistikgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG) discussed the topic of Electrification in road freight transport.

From driver to driver

During the first months of the pandemic, KRONE sold masks and disinfection at the factory in Werlte to suppliers who wanted to enter the premises. During the IAA, KRONE donated the entire amount to the BGL and to DocStop and doubled the donation to 1,500 euros each. Jens Pawlowski (Head of the BGL Capital Representation) and Werner Bicker (Board of DocStop für Europäer e.V.) were very pleased with the amount and thanked Mr Bernard Krone and Dr Albers for their support.

1st place for KRONE

KRONE has been awarded the Trailer Innovation Award in the "Chassis" category for the Box Liner eLTU 50 Traction Automatic. The international jury of 15 European trade magazines thus honoured the technology carrier, which will be presented for the first time at the IAA Transportation. Compared to the standard procedure, the new Box Liner Automatic technology represents a quantum leap. All of the previously required manual activities performed by the driver to adjust the container chassis are now a thing of the past.

Award for the eTrailer

In the "Concept" category of Trailer Innovation 2023, the KRONE eTrailer takes 2nd place. The KRONE eTrailer reduces diesel consumption and CO2 emissions of the tractor unit by 20 to 40 percent. Abdulah Jaber and Michael Nimtsch from Trailer Dynamics as well as KRONE Managing Director Marketing and Sales Dr. Frank Albers are excited about the award.

Official opening tour

During this year's opening tour, Bernard Krone and Dr. Frank Albers welcomed Lower Saxony's Prime Minister Stephan Weil, VDA President Hildegard Müller and Lord Mayor Belit Onay at the KRONE stand in Hall 27. At the eMega Liner, the guests could convince themselves of KRONE's innovative strength: In cooperation with Trailer Dynamics, KRONE has developed electrified trailers that can reduce the diesel consumption and CO2 emissions of a semitrailer tractor by 20 to 40 percent.
